How this tool works
Drying time depends mostly on the material and how saturated it is. Vinyl over a slab gives up surface water quickly, drywall and framing take longer, and dense materials such as hardwood, plaster and a soaked concrete basement floor are Class 4 materials that hold water deep inside. Larger areas add time, and so does a house without heat or air conditioning, because a closed, humid basement dries slowly.
These are typical ranges with professional air movers and LGR dehumidifiers running continuously. The drying goal is not a date: equipment leaves when wet materials read within 2 to 4 points of a dry reference material. See structural drying for how that works.
